Guide Dogs Café 2023 FAQs

Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will bring the best of brunch and puppy hugs to Sydney’s CBD at a lab-radorably themed pup-up café, where coffee will be served in the company of a pawfect companion!

Guide Dogs Café goers can dine, pat puppies, pose in a pooch themed photo booth and even play in a plushie dog toy ball pit – all in one place! As well of lots of cute puppies to play with, Therapy Dogs and Guide Dogs will also be in attendance at the pup-tastic event.

As part of the immersive Guide Dogs Cafe experience, guests will also have the chance to chat with people in the low vision and blind community about how their Guide Dog helps them live a life without limits.

Our pup-up café will take place at World Square Shopping Centre – 644 George St, Sydney NSW 2000.

The café is open for one day only on Wednesday 26 April. There will be two sessions open to the public at 8am – 9am or 12pm – 2pm.

This is a drop in / drop out style event where you can expect to stay for approximately 10-20 minutes. Capacity limits apply.

Tickets are $5 each and payment will be collected upon entry. Children under 12 years of age are welcome to attend for free. Cash and card accepted.

Cafe items will be provided by Naked Duck.

The Guide Dogs Café will host a range of our loveable Labradors of all ages. You will have the chance to meet and have your photo taken with some of our gorgeous puppies, pat and cuddle a Therapy Dog, or mix with one of our special Ambassador Dogs.

Working Guide Dogs will also be in attendance with their Handlers. A working Guide Dog in harness should not be patted, fed or distracted. We will provide café goers with more information on the day on how to interact with the different dogs in attendance.

While we all love our own precious pooches, the cafe is a chance for the much loved and iconic Labradors of Guide Dogs to shine! Pet dogs will not be permitted at the event.

We welcome all qualified Guide Dog and Assistance Dog Handlers in accordance with access rights. Please be aware there will be other working dogs and puppies at the event.

Yes, all Guide Dogs events are run in accordance with NSW Government health guidelines to ensure the wellbeing of our community.

Our pup-up café will take place at World Square Shopping Centre in Sydney’s CBD.
