Create moments that matter.

By making a donation this Christmas, you can help people with low vision or blindness stay connected to the people and traditions they love.

How frequently would you like to donate?

Hello! I'm Brigitte, and this is my five-year-old daughter, Lottie. We both live with low vision.

Lottie and I both have a rare inherited eye disorder called familial exudative vitreoretinopathy, or FEVR, and there was a time when everyday life felt much harder than it needed to as a result. That was until I was matched with my Guide Dog, Ukon. He’s sweet, goofy, incredibly smart and completely changed my life.

Ukon gives me the confidence to travel safely and independently. We go everywhere together: to work, the shops and to pick up Lottie from daycare. He’s my right-hand man. And at Christmas time, that independence means even more. Because of Ukon, I can focus on what really matters: being present for my family; joining in in on traditions; making memories with my daughter.

Lottie has also been receiving support from Guide Dogs since she was a baby. She works with an Orientation and Mobility Specialist to learn how to use her cane and navigate her world safely and with confidence.

It is thanks to this support, that we can stay connected to the people and traditions we love at Christmas time and all year-round.
