International Guide Dog Day T-shirt Giveaway
Campaign Terms
- Campaign and Promoter
1.1 This International Guide Dog Day T‑Shirt Giveaway Campaign (Campaign) is a time‑limited fundraising campaign run by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT ACN 000 399 744 (Guide Dogs, we, us, our).
1.2 Our registered office is at 7–9 Albany Street, St Leonards NSW 2065 and our contact number is (02) 9412 9300.
1.3 We provide services to people who are blind or have low vision in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.
1.4 By signing up to make a regular monthly donation of $30 or more to Guide Dogs during the Campaign Period, you agree to these terms and conditions.
- Campaign Purpose
2.1 The Campaign is centred on International Guide Dog Day and is designed to raise funds to support our guide dog puppies and related services.
2.2 To promote our Puppy Pals regular giving program, we will provide one (1) Guide Dogs “Superhero” T‑shirt (Gift) to each eligible person who signs up to give a qualifying monthly gift of $30 or more during the Campaign Period, subject to these terms.
2.3 This Campaign is a fundraising initiative with a guaranteed gift (while stocks last) for eligible participants. It is not a game of chance, trade promotion lottery, or competition, and no permit is intended to be required under NSW trade promotion lottery laws.
- Campaign Period
3.1 The Campaign commences at 8:00am AEDT on Monday, 30 March 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Sunday, 3 May 2026 (Campaign Period).
3.2 Sign‑ups received before the start, or after the end, of the Campaign Period will not qualify for the Gift under this Campaign.
- Eligibility
4.1 The Campaign is open only to individuals who, at the time of signing up:
- are Australian residents located in New South Wales or the Australian Capital Territory; and
- are 18 years of age or older.
4.2 The Campaign is not open to:
- employees, officers, contractors or volunteers of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT or any other Guide Dog organisation in Australia; or
- employees or contractors of any agencies or suppliers directly involved in the administration, promotion, or delivery of the Campaign.
4.3 There is a limit of one (1) Gift per eligible person for the duration of the Campaign, regardless of how many separate regular donations that person may establish during the Campaign Period.
4.4 We may reject a sign‑up as ineligible for the Gift if we reasonably form the opinion that:
- the sign‑up was made using false, misleading or incomplete information;
- the sign‑up was made using automated means or any “entry”/sign‑up service; or
- the person otherwise does not meet these eligibility criteria.
- How to Qualify for the Gift
5.1 To qualify for the Gift, during the Campaign Period you must:
- sign up to make a regular monthly donation of $30 or more to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT (Regular Gift); and
- provide all information we reasonably require to set up and process your Regular Gift (including your full name, contact details, payment details and a valid NSW postal address).
5.2 A Regular Gift will be treated as qualifying for the Gift when:
- the Regular Gift has been successfully set up and accepted by Guide Dogs; and
- the first monthly donation payment has been successfully processed.
5.3 You may cancel your Regular Gift at any time in accordance with your payment arrangement and our regular giving terms. Cancelling your Regular Gift after the first successful payment does not affect your entitlement to the Gift under these terms.
- Gift Details
6.1 Each eligible participant who satisfies clause 5 will receive:
- 1 x Guide Dogs “Superhero” T‑shirt (Gift), valued at RRP $35.00.
6.2 The Gift is:
- not transferable to any other person;
- not redeemable for cash or any other form of credit; and
- not exchangeable for any other goods or services, except where we agree or where required by law.
6.3 T‑shirt size requests may be made immediately after signing up for the Regular Gift, in the manner notified by Guide Dogs (for example, via a link or form sent after sign‑up).
6.4 Size availability may be limited, and we do not guarantee that every requested size will be available. If your preferred size is not available, we may:
- offer an alternative available size; or
- offer a reasonably equivalent alternative item of similar value, if T‑shirts are no longer available.
6.5 The approximate retail value stated is a genuine estimate and is correct at the time of drafting these terms; however, we are not responsible for any change in the market price of the Gift.
- Delivery of the Gift
7.1 T‑shirts will be mailed by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to the NSW postal address you provide once we have confirmed that the first donation payment under your Regular Gift has been successfully processed.
7.2 You are responsible for ensuring that:
- your postal address and contact details are accurate and up to date; and
- you promptly notify us if your address changes before the Gift is dispatched.
7.3 A valid New South Wales postal address must be provided in order to receive the Gift.
7.4 We will use reasonable endeavours to dispatch Gifts within a reasonable time after confirmation of your first donation payment. However, dispatch and delivery times may vary, and we are not liable for any delay caused by Australia Post or other delivery providers, or for any event beyond our reasonable control.
7.5 Risk in the Gift passes to you upon delivery to the delivery provider. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, theft, damage, or delay in connection with the delivery of the Gift, except where caused by our negligence or breach of these terms.
- Verification and Compliance
8.1 We reserve the right, at any time, to:
- verify the eligibility of any person participating in the Campaign; and
- request reasonable evidence of identity, age, residency, and/or compliance with these terms (for example, proof of address or identification documents).
8.2 If you do not provide any information we reasonably require to verify your eligibility within a reasonable time, we may:
- determine that you are not entitled to the Gift; or
- withhold or cancel the Gift, to the extent permitted by law.
8.3 If we reasonably believe that these terms have been breached, or that there has been any fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful conduct, we may refuse to provide the Gift or take any other action we consider appropriate.
- Changes, Suspension, or Cancellation
9.1 We may amend these terms from time to time if we consider it reasonably necessary to do so (for example, to address changes in law, to correct an error, or to improve clarity), provided that any change will not materially reduce your existing entitlement to a Gift already earned.
9.2 We may suspend or cancel the Campaign:
- if circumstances beyond our reasonable control make it impracticable to continue (for example, supply issues, public health emergencies, or major operational disruptions); or
- if required by any law, regulation, or direction of a regulator.
9.3 If we suspend or cancel the Campaign, we will:
- honour Gifts for all eligible sign‑ups already received up to the effective date of suspension or cancellation (subject to stock and these terms); and
- notify donors of any material change by a reasonable method (for example, via our website or email).
- Privacy and Marketing
10.1 We collect personal information about you to:
- set up and process your Regular Gift;
- administer and deliver the Gift; and
- communicate with you about this Campaign and other fundraising activities and services, in accordance with your communication preferences and our privacy obligations.
10.2 Our handling of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available at: https://nsw.guidedogs.com.au/privacy-policy/
10.3 Our Privacy Policy explains:
- how we collect, use, store, and disclose personal information;
- how you may access or correct your personal information; and
- how you can make a complaint if you believe your privacy has been infringed, and how we will deal with that complaint.
10.4 You may opt out of direct marketing communications from us at any time by using the unsubscribe facility in our messages or by contacting us directly, as described in our Privacy Policy.
10.5 By participating in this Campaign:
- you consent to us using your personal information as set out in this clause and in our Privacy Policy; and
- if you separately agree (for example, in a consent form or email), you consent to us using your name, image, or testimonial in any media for promotional purposes in connection with International Guide Dog Day, the Campaign, and our services, without further compensation, to the extent permitted by law.
- Liability
11.1 Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on you by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.
11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, and to the maximum extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising in connection with the Campaign or the Gift; and
- our total aggregate liability to you in connection with the Campaign and the Gift (however arising) is limited to the replacement of the Gift or payment of the cost of its replacement.
11.3 You are responsible for considering whether the Gift is suitable for your personal circumstances, including any allergies or sensitivities (for example, in relation to materials), and you use or wear the Gift at your own risk.
- General
12.1 These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales and the courts entitled to hear appeals from those courts.
12.2 If any part of these terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that part will be read down or severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
12.3 A failure or delay by us to exercise any right or remedy under these terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
12.4 In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and any other materials about the Campaign (including promotional materials), these terms prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
National Puppy Day Appeal
These terms apply to a time-limited fundraising campaign run by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT around National Puppy Day (Campaign). By donating during the Campaign Period, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
The Campaign is run by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT ACN 000 399 744 (Guide Dogs, we, us). We provide services to people who are blind or have low vision in NSW and the ACT.
2. What this Campaign is about
This is a short trial campaign centred on National Puppy Day. It is designed to raise funds to support our guide dog puppies and related services.
3. Campaign Period and matching offer
- A generous major donor (Robyn McKeown) will match eligible donations made during the Campaign Period, up to a total of AUD $10,000 (Matching Cap).
- The Campaign Period is from 9:00 AM 9 March 2026, to 5:00 PM 30 March 2026 at (AEDT – Sydney, NSW), unless we end, pause or modify this period in accordance with these terms.
- Only donations that are made and successfully processed during the Campaign Period can be matched.
4. How you can donate
- You may receive asks through social media, phone calls (including by our telemarketing agents) and email appeals that link to our official donation channels for this Campaign.
- You can donate using the methods listed on our Campaign donation page or as otherwise advised (for example credit or debit card, direct debit or BPAY).
- A donation counts as received and eligible for matching only when the payment has been authorised, cleared and recorded by us or our payment providers.
5. Who can donate and what is eligible
- Individuals, businesses and organisations in Australia or overseas can donate, as long as it is lawful and appropriate for us to accept the donation. We may refuse or return a donation if needed to follow the law or protect our reputation or beneficiaries.
- We gratefully accept gifts of any size. For matching, we may set a minimum and maximum amount per donation (for example to make sure the Matching Cap is shared fairly). Any limits will be explained in our Campaign materials. Smaller or larger gifts that do not qualify for matching are still very welcome.
- Donations will only be matched if they are clearly recorded by us as part of this Campaign and are made in Australian dollars (AUD).
- The following are not normally eligible for matching (unless we clearly say otherwise): pledges not received and processed during the Campaign Period, donations in foreign currencies, gifts-in-kind, donated goods or services, volunteer time, bequests and grants that are already covered by other agreements.
6. How matching works
- The Matching Donor will contribute up to AUD $10,000 in total to match eligible donations received during the Campaign Period.
- Eligible donations will generally be matched dollar-for-dollar until we reach the earlier of:
- the Matching Cap of AUD $10,000; or
- the end of the Campaign Period.
- Matching is applied in the order that eligible donations are received and processed in our systems.
- Once the Matching Cap is reached, further donations will not be matched but will still support our work.
- If total eligible donations are less than AUD $10,000, the Matching Donor will match only up to that lower total. Any unused part of the Matching Cap will not be paid or carried over to another campaign.
7. How we use your donation
- Unless you clearly tell us otherwise, your donation and any matched funds will be used as general support for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, including our puppies and dog services, and other programs for people who are blind or have low vision.
- We will always use donations and matched funds to support our charitable purposes. If we cannot use your donation exactly as you prefer (for example if a particular project is fully funded), we may use it for a similar or related purpose.
8. Refunds and changes to donations
- Donations are generally non-refundable. Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be changed, we do not have to refund a donation if you change your mind or make a mistake.
- If we decide to refund a donation (for example a clear duplicate or processing error), we will deduct that amount from the Campaign’s eligible donations and adjust any related matched amount.
- If a donation is reversed, charged back or dishonoured, we may adjust the matched total and the Matching Donor’s contribution.
9. Tax
- Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is a registered charity with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. In Australia, donations of $2 or more may be tax-deductible, depending on your personal circumstances.
- We issue tax receipts for eligible donations in our usual way, which may include electronic receipts.
- The Matching Donor receives their own tax receipt for their matched contribution. Individual donors cannot claim a deduction for the Matching Donor’s contribution.
- We do not give tax, legal or financial advice. You should seek your own advice about the tax treatment of your donation.
10. Technical issues and unexpected events
- We will take reasonable care to keep our donation systems working, but we cannot promise they will always be available, error-free or secure.
- If technical problems, outages, cyber incidents, telecommunication failures or other events beyond our control affect the Campaign, we may extend, pause or shorten the Campaign Period, change how matching is applied, or take other reasonable steps to protect donors and the integrity of the Campaign.
11. Changing or ending the Campaign
- Because this is a small trial campaign, we may change these terms or withdraw, pause or vary the Campaign (including the matching offer) if it is reasonable to do so, including if laws change or unexpected events occur.
- If the Campaign ends early, donations already received will still support Guide Dogs’ work but may not be matched.
12. Privacy
- We handle personal information in line with our Privacy Policy, available on our website or upon request.
- By donating, you agree that we may use your personal information to process your donation, issue receipts, communicate with you about your support and the Campaign, and for other purposes described in our Privacy Policy. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time.
13. Fundraising laws and governing law
- The Campaign is run in line with fundraising and charitable collections laws and regulations in NSW and the ACT.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales. The courts of New South Wales (and any courts that hear appeals from them) have nonexclusive jurisdiction over disputes about the Campaign.
