What is an Inclusion Ally?
An “Ally” is a person or organisation who is willing to listen, speak up, and act with or for another person or group to ensure their rights are protected.
An “Inclusion Ally” at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is a person who supports our work towards creating a society where people with low vision or blindness are respected, valued and included in all areas of life, like employment, education, healthcare, community belonging and safety.
As an Inclusion Ally, you will:
- receive regular, informative newsletters about the Social Change team;
- be kept up to date with local campaigns;
- get invited to exclusive events and learning sessions;
- support our policy asks by signing petitions; and
- have opportunities to share your ideas about what needs to change and provide possible solutions.
There are so many ways you can get involved! You may want to be a quiet reader of our emails, or a more active participant. Either way, join us to help us create meaningful change in your community.
