"Guide Dogs NSW/ACT saved me."

"When my vision changed, Guide Dogs grabbed me by the hand and gave me canes, mini guides and showed me how to get on with life.” Without donations, Guide Dogs like Solo wouldn’t be possible. You can help us continue to make connections like Tony and Solo.

After being a cane user for many years, Tony decided it was time for a Guide Dog. That’s when Solo came into his life! On February 14 the stars aligned, and Tony and Solo begun their journey together.

“I cannot thank the people who donate enough. It’s amazing the gift they give people like me. It’s life-changing to go from not doing things independently to now having the world at your feet.”

With Solo at his side, Tony can move independently throughout his everyday life. Their favourite activity to do together is exploring. Whether it’s a beach walk, bush walk, or a trip to the supermarket, Tony can do it all with Solo by his side.

“He’s not just a Guide Dog, he’s a family member.”

It costs more than $50,000 to breed, raise, and train a Guide Dog. By donating today, you can help us continue to make connections like Tony and Solo.
