Puppy Pals is a community of supporters helping future Guide Dogs through their early development and training journey. By joining Puppy Pals, you'll help provide puppies with the care, training and support they need on their path to becoming life-changing Guide Dogs.
Your donations can be made by automatic debits from a nominated bank account or credit card every four weeks.
Yes. All Puppy Pals will receive an annual tax receipt in July each year, which will include a summary of all donations from the previous financial year.
When you join Puppy Pals, you'll support a litter of Guide Dog puppies and receive regular updates about their progress. You'll be able to follow key milestones as the puppy grows, learns and advances through training.
As a Puppy Pal, you’ll receive invitations to special events where you can meet some of our pups in training and see your impact firsthand.
As a Puppy Pal to a litter of our trainee Guide Dogs pups, you will receive:
- A Welcome Pack, including a magnetic photo frame.
- A scrapbook to celebrate the milestones of the pups.

Not every puppy follows the same path. Some dogs may go on to other assistance or support roles, while others may be rehomed as beloved family pets. Every puppy receives expert care and training to help them reach their potential.
Guide Dog puppies that successfully complete their training are matched with people who are blind or have low vision. Once partnered, they help their Handler navigate the community with greater confidence, safety and independence.
The journey from puppyhood to becoming a qualified Guide Dog takes approximately 18 to 24 months. During this time, puppies complete socialisation, basic training and advanced Guide Dog training.
