Use the search function to find participating firms in your area and send an enquiry direct from their profile. Your enquiry will be sent to the firm notifying them that you are a Guide Dogs supporter. They will contact you to set up an initial consultation at your convenience.
It is important to correctly name Guide Dogs should you choose to include a gift. The correct name to be used in your Will is Guide Dogs NSW/ACT (ABN 52 000 399 744).
Guide Dogs contributes $300 towards the cost of your consultation. This contribution will be paid directly to your chosen solicitor upon completion of your Will. It’s our way of easing the financial barrier so you can take this important step. Depending on your personal circumstances, there may be additional charges for legal services including writing or updating your Will. These will be specific to you and included in a tailored quote from your chosen solicitor.
No. There is no obligation to leave a gift to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT in your Will. However, as a supporter of our life-changing work, we hope you would consider such a legacy after you have looked after any family and friends. We rely heavily on income from gifts in Wills, which make possible more than half of all our Guide Dogs, Therapy Dogs and services.

Yes, you can. You are free to choose from the list of participating firms. Guide Dogs does not provide recommendations, so the choice is entirely yours. All participating firms meet strict criteria for professional registration, insurance, experience, and ethical conduct. Each firm is vetted before joining the network.
Your chosen firm can advise whether a new Will is needed or if your existing one can be updated. Any additional charges will be discussed with you first.
