Why host a Donation Dog?

Hosting a Donation Dog will enable your business to get involved with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT at no cost.

You’ll help change the life of someone who has low vision or blindness by providing a way for the wider community to support our work.

Here are some added benefits of being a host:

  • It’s a winning formula to gain the attention of passers-by – who wouldn’t want to pay a visit to one of our amazing dogs?
  • Support a cause that offers individuals, local and state-wide, with low vision or blindness opportunities to maximise their independence.
  • Guide Dogs is a widely recognised and trusted brand. We are honoured to have either won or placed highly commended in the Reader’s Digest Annual Trusted Brands Awards since its introduction in 2013.
  • A fantastic opportunity to foster a communal sense of pride among your staff and customers alike. Together, you’re helping Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to support someone who has low vision or blindness.
"Our customers love seeing the Guide Dogs Donation Dog on our counter. It’s great to support such a worthy cause!"

Choosing the right Donation Dog for your business

Mini-Coin Donation Dog

At 35cm tall, this pup is ideal for sitting on counter-tops near the Point of Sale and collecting spare change.

Large-Coin Donation Dog

At 83cm tall this Donation Dog is ideal for high traffic areas in supermarkets, shopping centres, schools and clubs. They are also a prime attraction and pastime for children who like to give them a pat and pop in some coins while their parents are at the checkout – building a long-lasting relationship with Guide Dogs.

Being a host is easy

All Donation Dogs are safe, lockable and easily secured to counters or stands. We can also maintain and empty the Donation Dogs so there is no extra effort on your part.

As a great opportunity for team building, we welcome you to share the name of your Donation Dog with us at donationdog@guidedogs.com.au.
