SeeWay

Free, practical support for Australians adjusting to permanent changes in their vision.

What is SeeWay?

Across Australia, many people are adapting to changes in their vision. These changes can affect everyday life in different ways. Reading a phone screen may become more difficult. Getting from A to B may require new strategies. Hobbies and everyday activities may take more effort than they once did.

Even when someone is not legally blind or eligible for funded support, the impact on daily life can still be significant. Created by Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, SeeWay supports people earlier in their vision journey. It is designed for people who are not yet eligible for traditional vision support services but would benefit from practical support and guidance.

Research shows that getting support earlier can improve long-term wellbeing and help people adapt with confidence. SeeWay focuses on the everyday challenges that can come with permanent changes in vision, including staying connected, using technology, navigating new situations and adjusting to change.
