About Nancy
Nancy is a beautiful, calm dog who is usually found at the St Leonards flagship office. She started her career as a Guide Dog and worked for over 7 years. Since her retirement she has worked as an Ambassador Dog. Nancy loves the colour pink, loves her toys (especially her Tiffany purse and champagne bottle) and her nickname is Princess! Her best friends are Bess (current working Guide Dog) and Bill (retired UK Guide Dog).
Since Nancy is a fully trained Guide Dog – she regularly goes out to the Guide Dog Centre and brushes up on all her guiding skills – which she hasn’t forgotten at all. It is important that she keeps her skills at a high level so that when she is asked to do trial walks with Clients she can give them a great experience.

What Ambassador work does Nancy do?
Nancy attends events all over NSW. Recently, she attended the Coles Donation Dog certificate presentation, an event which celebrates the top performing donation dog Coles stores. Nancy has also gone out with a group of donors to the Guide Dog Centre – where she joined our donors on the bus trip out to Glossodia. Every fortnight, Nancy visits the young people at the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Westmead where she is often taken for special walks and dressed up. Keep your eyes peeled on our Guide Dogs instagram and TikTok accounts where we often feature Nancy during our event wrap ups.
At events, Nancy gets to say hello to the attendees and pose for photos. She wears a special jacket so that you know she is working. Sometimes, she gets to attend events alongside her Ambassador Dog friends! Nancy was very proud to be asked to meet the Governor of NSW at Government House and hopes that since she was on her absolute best behaviour she might be invited back to Government House one day.
