Why host a Donation Dog?

Hosting a Donation Dog will enable your business to get involved with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT at no cost.

You’ll help change the life of someone who has low vision or blindness by providing a way for the wider community to support our work.

Here are some added benefits of being a host:

  • It’s a winning formula to gain the attention of passers-by – who wouldn’t want to pay a visit to one of our amazing dogs?
  • Support a local cause that offers services to the community.
  • Guide Dogs is a widely recognised and trusted brand. Guide Dogs Australia was voted Australia’s Most Trusted Charity Brand seven times from 2013 – 2018, and again in 2020.
  • Get a fantastic tool that fosters a communal sense of pride among staff. Together, you’re helping Guide Dogs NSW/ACT to support someone who has low vision or blindness.
"Our customers love seeing the Guide Dogs Donation Dog on our counter. It’s great to support such a worthy cause!"

Choosing the right Donation Dog for your business

Mini-Coin Donation Dog

At 35cm tall, this pup is ideal for sitting on counter-tops near the till and collecting spare change.

Digital Donation Dog

These clever doggies are the same size as the Mini Coin Donation Dog, however they allow supporters to donate to Guide Dogs with a simple tap of their credit or EFTPOS card. They are fitted with their own SIM card, so hosts simply need to provide a small amount of counter space and power from a USB or power point.

Large-Coin Donation Dog

At 83cm tall this Donation Dog is ideal for high traffic areas in clubs, supermarkets and shopping centres. They are also a prime attraction and pastime for children who like to give them a pat and pop in some coins while their parents are at the checkout – building a long-lasting relationship with Guide Dogs.

Being a host is easy

With regular updates, you and your customers can see how you are supporting life-changing services.

All Donation Dogs are safe, lockable and easily secured to counters or stands. We can also maintain and empty the Donation Dogs so there is no extra effort on your part.

All you have to do is name your dog – a great opportunity for team building!
