We are excited to have Courtney Webeck as one of our Guide Dogs NSW/ACT Ambassadors! Named Blind Australian of the Year for 2024, Courtney has been recognised for her outstanding achievements in sport, particularly in blind cricket and tennis. Courtney started playing blind and low vision tennis in 2022 and, by the end of the year, was ranked number one in both singles and doubles in Australia. In 2024, Courtney won the singles and doubles national titles and holds the number one ranking in the world.

She has also excelled in playing blind cricket, representing Australia and captaining the first Australian women’s blind cricket team. Her sporting success has earned her a Tier 1 scholarship from the 2025 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program. Alongside her sporting achievements, Courtney is also studying for a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology.

Congratulations, Courtney, on adding this award to your growing collection! We are so pleased to have you as part of the NSW/ACT team, and we can’t wait to collaborate with you to continue to raise awareness and break barriers for people with low vision or blindness.
