International Day of People with Disability 2024.
This International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be hosting multiple events to spark conversations about the accessibility of content.
The Guide Dogs NSW/ACT team will be collaborating with the Sydney Opera House. Part of the celebrations will be an audio described and tactile tour showcasing the history, architecture and extraordinary story of Sydney’s iconic Opera House.
Underneath the magnificent, white sails, there’s incredible spaces and stories for you to experience. The tour is designed to get Clients up close and personal with the Opera House, as Guide Dogs NSW/ACT and Sydney Opera House staff will also be there on the day for support.
You can register for the Sydney Opera House event here.
There will also be an afternoon of accessible entertainment at the Guide Dogs NSW/ACT office in St Leonards. We will be chatting about how content can and should be accessible and demonstrate with a few videos our team has created and some examples of other content.
You will hear from Principal Advisor and Manager of Access and Stakeholder Engagement, Jennifer Moon about our collaboration with the Sydney Opera House for IDPwD and Video and Content Producer, Michael McCarron will answer your questions about accessible content and video.
You can register for the Content and Conversation chat here.
