National Volunteer Week 2021
This week is National Volunteer Week – a very special time for all of us here at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT – and this year’s theme is Recognise. Reconnect. Reimagine.
In keeping with this theme, all of us at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT want to recognise the valuable contribution of our amazing volunteers.
Our volunteers play a truly invaluable part in our organisation. Whether you volunteer as a driver or work in administration; or you’re working in the kennels or the nursery; or you’ve opened your home to one of our adorable pups; our volunteers play a vital role in the success of Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, and therefore the success of our Clients.
Last year was a challenging time for our organisation and for many of our volunteers, with many programs either on hold or being run very differently – we want to thank you for sticking with us through what can only be described as one of our toughest times!
This National Volunteer Week we wanted to take the time to thank our volunteers for their support and dedication – we hope you enjoy this message of thanks!
About volunteering at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT
There are many ways to get involved in volunteering with Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, from Puppy Raising, to volunteering in an administrative role or helping out at the Guide Dogs Centre. Each volunteering opportunity provides our volunteers with the opportunity to discover new skills and experiences while helping to change the lives of people with low vision or blindness.
