As a part of our International White Cane Day celebrations, we are hosting a special Chatter Paws connection event just for Clients, Australia wide 6:30 pm to 8 pm, Thursday 14 October.
Lots of people feel stigmatised when they start using a white cane. It makes you stand out in a crowd, there’s no lying low when you have a cane which identifies you as being blind or having low vision.
This special Chatter Paws event will discuss the process of moving past the discomfort, learning to accept, and even loving the white cane. The event will feature stories from people who have lived the journey and you will be able to contribute your own experiences and supports.
